RIVERFEST is an educational event that highlights ways to protect rivers, focusing on the Watauga, Elk, Linville, and New Rivers. It serves as a catalyst for community action with exhibits, hands on demonstrations, and the chance to talk one-on-one with experts on water quality. The atmosphere is festive with music, activities for children, food, storytelling, and lots of energy. It is all set against the backdrop of the charming Valle Crucis Park beside the Watauga River.
